Welcome to an unofficial Christopher Hitchens site. dailyhitchens@post.com
Christopher Hitchens (1949 - 2011) was an Anglo-American author and journalist. His books made him a prominent public intellectual and a staple of talk shows and lecture circuits. He was a columnist and literary critic at Vanity Fair, Slate, The Atlantic, World Affairs, The Nation, Free Inquiry and a variety of other media outlets. He was named one of the world's "Top 100 Public Intellectuals" by Foreign Policy and Britain's Prospect.

Wow, Hitch, Tyson, Shermer and Ali, what an awesome line up!
Already have my tickets!
Anybody have any idea how this will work? I was under the impression Hitchens' cancer had rendered him voiceless - he cancelled a speaking engagement near Easter for just that reason. Should his involvement here be taken to mean he's somehow recovered some of what he'd lost? That would be great news, obviously, but it seems somehow too improbable for a man over 60 suffering from esophageal cancer. Though, as I said, I wildly hope it's the case.
From Think Inc's facebook page:
We've been given every assurance that his voice has been regained and he'll be fine to speak. If anything changes (although, must stress, changes are very unlikely as far as we've been told), you'll know as soon as we do.
