Ignore the "realists." If we do nothing, the situation in Libya can only get worse.
By Christopher Hitchens
"...Qaddafi senior has reached his Ceausescu moment: a full-dress (in the literal sense) meltdown into paranoia, megalomania, and delusion. His recent speeches and appearances have shown him stinking with madness and hysteria. His age and condition, at any rate, set a very sharp limit to the duration of his regime."

As always, you are right. We can't let Qaddafi win this one or let anyone else win their fight against democracy. Not really sure how democracy will look, but it will look a lot better than what they have now.
Wish you well on your journey. I love your books, lectures and talks.

Honestly, Qaddafi looks like he is a drug addict. The condition of his skin, the paranoia and megalomania and delusion--these are all signs of drug addiction. I think the people have the modern day equivalent of Caligula running their country. He really does have to be stopped.
hi, im so happy, glad hes doing well, please keep going christopher, i will be wanting to see alot more of your writing and debates. Thanks. lots of love, and keep up the good fight.
Your winning right now Hitch I hope that raises a well deserved smile..
hi, how is christopher, it everything going well. thinking about him.xx
I was hoping for an update on how Mr. Hitchens is doing. Please.
Ceausescu was actually a puppet , he was raised in a village as a shoemaker with no real education . While Qaddafi directly controls everything , has direct power ( thus the mass killings )
America's pioneer's faced the challenges of Indians? Read your history. I think you'll find it was the other way around. Oh yes and of course, God and the gun always were good companions, weren't they? Needless to say God's always on the side of white Americans.
As an avid viewer of trends in the kaleidoscope of media driven morality, in my opinion recent events have created a current world which is threatening to dissolve into a kind of anarchy of culture and politics unknown to previous generations, except perhaps America's pioneer settlers who faced the challenges of Indians and nature with only the protection of their covered wagons, guns and faith in God's grace to uplift them. Or some such thing.
amen...thanks....
