Christopher Hitchens (1949 - 2011) was an Anglo-American author and journalist. His books made him a prominent public intellectual and a staple of talk shows and lecture circuits. He was a columnist and literary critic at Vanity Fair, Slate, The Atlantic, World Affairs, The Nation, Free Inquiry and a variety of other media outlets. He was named one of the world's "Top 100 Public Intellectuals" by Foreign Policy and Britain's Prospect.

Fantastic stuff.
Surely Hitch will soon have a few awards named after him as well, and he can present one at next year's Freethought Convention.
I was there at the conference when Mr. Hitchens wrote his list for the little girls. Mrs. Crumpacker was kind enough to send it to me. I have posted it at cshardwick.wordpress.com and on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erFI2VZvETA
His eyes seem a bit wilder, it's a bit unsettling, but his VOICE is back. Damn it's good to hear that again.
The videos were removed a couple days ago.
