A debate with Tony Blair? Is that for real?

I can't find anything on Google, but I certainly hope that it's real. In my home town no less! This website is my only reliable source of news about Hitchens' appearances so I hope to hear some news about it soon.

Toronto? Oh my God. I'd been trying to save the money to fly from Edmonton out to the US to see him some place, but it'd make that a million times easier if he comes to Canada.

I'm from Toronto too, please someone enlighten us on this event!!

I will pray for him I am a Christian i used to be an atheist but in my quest and search for the truth etc. I found it. I am not pushing or hoping he will found the same path as myself, because I'm not that arrogant in my beliefs, but I do know nobody likes to die alone, but I hope and pray that he will get better and find peace. Mr Hitchens should be respected as one of the great minds and thinkers of our day, doesn't mean he has to be a religious man. God bless <><.

Don't burn in HELL just try an avoid it Mr Hitchens!!!! Some way some how rather through Christ or whatever you think but when you die i hope your right about your beliefs and views. I would rather have faith and be wrong than not have faith and be right. Matthew 10:38-39. Get well soon Mr Hitchens and get back to debating, as a christian i love reading your views it challenges me more than any evangelical debate or sermon. Keeps me on my toes and holds myself accountable for my beliefs whereas you make sure those that don't realize the crime they are committing, and for that i thank you from the bottom of my heart, now I'm still a Christian and will never be a atheist, but i do believe God put you on this earth and in my path on the web and the books I've read that you have written all for a reason, since I have bought your books etc. I think I have earned the right to say these things and suggestions to you, and you've earned the right from you quest and research to call out anything you feel isn't right or whatever, sadly others don't see it or your work that way, but you can count on one thing from me as a Christian, I understand. Get well soon my friend. :).

I love Hitchens, and in the worst case, this gentleman is showing us all how one dies gracefully.

And can Sally Quinn quit with the damn blinking? Better yet, just edit herself out?

I don't like these videos and Hitchens shouldn't have done them because he is giving sucker to the faith section of the newspaper when I think he said he was against faith sections.

I think you mean succor. If Hitchens can illustrate anything, it is how we can interact with theists in a civil manner while maintaining our position as atheistic members of society.

I think his greatest contribution is how to dissent with class and intelligence. His approach is much more provocative because his manners and thought processes are above reproach. When the atheists fully adopt his love for logic, language and discourse, we'll finally be ready to get somewhere.

There's nothing wrong, and everything right, with his appearances in faith-sponsored debates and faith-oriented websites. Thank goodness he's tireless enough to still do it. More of us should follow his example.

As for the Toronto thing...that seemed a very specific thing to say if there wasn't at least some degree of certainty...
