Lauren at Thoughts Thought Out posted about her visit to Washington D.C. last month and her chat with Christopher. Read her post here.
CH tells her “I just finished writing a book.."
Anyone heard or read anything on what book that would be? She doesn't have the details. Last year he said he'd re-chisel the Ten Commandments and publish a book. Could that be it? Sure, we'll know soon but we are a bit curious, aren't we?
What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof.
Welcome to an unofficial Christopher Hitchens site. dailyhitchens@post.com

A new book! Huzzah!
I think it is a new collection of essays. I've heard him mention that somewhere.
A slow day for the Daily Hitch then...
Sorry, only joshing really - I really appreciate this site :-)
OK, it might be just my being heartless (or perhaps it's plain and simple jealousy), but let me say this: I drive by this man's house every day on the way to work (yeah, I know where he lives, and it's not really a secret), but I would never, ever, EVER think of bothering him like this. Am I wrong? I just wouldn't do this. Also: "he used such big words." Really, Lauren? (My apologies if you're not a native-English speaker - I sort of get the vibe that you aren't). Am I just being catty here? Thoughts?
Sorry, three more things I didn't mention in my previous comment:
1) maybe the new book is the one mentioned here?: "Raab's e-mail Tuesday also disclosed that Twelve recently reached a two-book deal with Hitchens, who was diagnosed in June with cancer of the esophagus. The first book, "Arguably," is a collection of essays scheduled for September. The second, currently untitled, will be a "book-length meditation on malady and mortality."
2) HE'S STILL SMOKING??? :(
3) Carol B. has always struck me as soundingly hilariously cool. I hope that's true.
Lauren sounds like a very young college student. And C Hitchens is a very sweet man.
This woman sounds horrendous.
maybe she just comes off as sounding like a moron? some people can't write.
I am constantly amazed by Christopher Hitchens' kindness. How many of us would willingly chat to someone who just showed up at our door, especially if we weren't feeling great and had a lot to do?
Thoughts here. Yes, you are being catty. This girl obviously is a christian and traveled all thw way to D.C. just talk with an atheist she admired. Admired. How many people do you earnestly seek after that have a radically different view point than you? And when you do, is it with kindness?
